A visa to the Russian Federation is a document permitting to stay in Russia for a specific time period. There are different types of visa depending on the purpose of your visit. We can offer you support in obtaining Tourist Visa and Business Visa to Russia. It is not possible to obtain a visa at the airport or border when entering Russia, so you should apply for it before travelling. Visas are issued only by Russian Consulates and foreign citizens can obtain a visa to Russia only in the country of their citizenship (except those who have a residence permit for a foreign country for more than 90 days).
Official invitations are required for all types of visas, and it is the first thing you need to get before applying for Russian visa. For tourist visa you need a visa support letter. Dates stated in the visa support letter will become the dates of your visa validity, and you will be able to stay in Russia only within the dates included in this time period. For example, if you have a Russian visa from April 1 until April 30 2009, you can enter the Russian Federation after 01/04/09 and leave it before 30/04/09 (even just one day between them), but you can-not enter before 01/04/09 and leave after 30/04/09 . For business visa you need the original of a business invitation from MFA - in a simple form, or sent by telex. Even if you had a one-year multiple entry visa, a business visa allows you to stay in Russia for not more than 180 days during one year, and not more than 90 consecutive days.
The visa support letter is a confirmed accommodation for each night of your stay in the country. We can provide you with this invitation accompanied with confirmation of accommodations/itinerary. No hotel reservations or bookings are needed on your part (you don't need to pay for it and to stay there), but if you book a hotel or an apartment in Russia using the services of our country, you will get a visa support invitation for free. Apart from a visa support letter, in order to obtain your Russian visa, you need to submit at the Consulate a medical insurance (we can provide you with it at the price of 16 Euro per week/ 50 Euro per month/ 160 Euro per year), an international passport valid at least 6 months after the expected visa expiry date, 2 photos for documents. Some Consulates require your flight details as well. In the Embassy/Consulate you can find and fill in the visa application form. Visa fee can be different and depends on the visa processing period. You can get a complete list of documents needed to obtain a Russian visa you can get at your nearest Russian Embassy/Consulate.
On arriving to Russia, you have to register you visa within 72 hours upon the arrival. If you stay at the hotel, it usually provides you with registration. If you stay at the apartment in Saint-Petersburg, you should address our agency in 3 days upon the arrival; bring your passport with visa and the migration card, provided to you on board the plane. If you stay at the apartment in any other Russian city, except Saint- Petersburg and Moscow, please, register you visa in the local UVIR (Department of Visas and Registration) during 3 days upon arrival. Please note that failure to register your Russian visa may cause serious problems, such as detention by police, fines on departure, prevention from boarding the plane, etc. We strongly recommend you to register your Russian visa to avoid possible unnecessary inconveniences. Tourist visa for Russia
Tourist visas are issued for a maximum of 30 days (check with your local Russian Consulate, somewhere maximum is 14 days). If you want to stay in Russia longer you must leave Russia and apply for visa again. The tourist visa is usually issued only for one entry. This means that if you leave Russia before the stated visa expiry date, you cannot enter again the Russian Federation even if the visa expiry date has not passed yet (coming back to the example, if you open your visa 05/04/09 and leave Russia 15/04/09, you cannot come back even if your visa is valid until 30/04/09). For citizens if some countries there is possibility of double entry tourist visa, but in this case you should indicate exactly when you will leave Russia and come back, and which country and hotel you will visit in the while time.
To get your visa support letter, valid to obtain a tourist visa for Russia, you can fill in the on line form or send by mail a list with the following data: name/surname, nationality, entry/exit dates, birthday, sex, passport number - to the address visa@allrussiatour.ru. Business visa for Russia
Business invitation is an invitation letter issued by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the Passport-Visa Service. Only certified Russian travel companies or organizations are entitled to submit the required information to the MFA, that issues a business invitation or sends a telex (the number of your invitation that goes straight to the Consulate) to the Russian consulate of the country where you will apply for your visa. Business visas can be single, double, and multiple entry. Their validity ranges from 1 to 12 months. For citizens of Italy, France and Germany who have already had a one-year business visa, it is possible to obtain a multiyear (2-5) business visa. When you have an invitation, you need to submit it to the Russian consulate and apply for visa. It's better to check with the Russian consulate beforehand if they accept copies of invitations or only originals.
To get your business invitation, valid to obtain a Business visa for Russia, you can fill in the on line form or send a list with the following data: kind of invitation (validity, entries, issuing time), name/surname, nationality, entry/exit dates, date/nation/city of birthday, sex, passport details (number, date of issue and expiry), office and home telephone and address, work details (name of the company, position) by mail at the address visto@allrussiatour.com.
